Tortilla

Flaky but rolled with enough excess to hold the sourcream in.

Meat

Enough carne is be in every bite, but it really worked well in conjunctionwith the other flavors rather than hulking over it all.

Ingredients

Fries, two-tone cheese, picode gallo, and sourcream. Pico was fresh and flavorful as any and its cilantro enhanced the sourcream; the sourcream was good but pooled a but at the bottom.

Salsa

Full stoplight, with a chunkier red and a spicy orange.

Other

Right off the freeway at the top of the Midway district, this edition of the small chain sits between a few auto/dinghy repair shops and The Body Shop, a converted auto garage that now shows "nudie cuties". The large fishbowl of a dining area is completely sheltered from the heat and wafting diesel fumes outside. The drive-thru and counter service is very, very quick. Above the counter a sign for the cooks reads "por los California burritos, ahora llevan la crema  abajo de la carne", so at least they're always trying to improve.
