Have been in a real rut lately, so I'm going to try and little project where I revamp old ocs of mine!

Part 1 is Cotton Ball and Mr Whale! (Check out the super old art under the cut)

They're sentient toys trapped in a magical world. Cotton is trying to get back to her little girl, but Mr. Whale has been there long enough he has no child to go back to.

Cotton doesn't remember much about her child, and learns more through her various journeys exploring their everchanging prison. And through it she realizes more and more that this little girl NEEDS her back, leaving Cotton more desperate to get home.

She has the power to grant wishes, but the catch is she has to make other people BELIEVE in the wish she wants to grant.

Over time things get more intense, and she often experiences toy gore where she has to protect the little felt heart inside of her that holds her child's wishes and love for her.

Its about comfort items, childhood, dreams, depression, and beliefs.

I realized that -ens definitely would build stuff out of clouds, since they can copy abilities from others of equal or lower standing than themselves (long story short, they can eat ghosts and also happen to exist alongside a the DP canon, thus many have altered, often weaker variations of the DP ghosts' abilities. One of those ghosts could make storms and generate clouds, so -ens build clouds and use them as generally temporary or mobile infrastructure.)

Featured above is a cotton ball; a kind of temporary (or desperate) living space built out of panels of stretched or woven cloud, which are then affixed to a frame made from spun beams. As the main structure is of stationary clouds, they sometimes are built over more mobile variations, sometimes ones that are designed to gather more moisture so that the whole thing becomes concealed in wild water crystals.

Standard Vulp-en architecture tends to have intimate or personal spaces lined with plush items and fabrics. Immunity to extreme altitudes comes as a part of being able to walk on clouds, though there's also resistance to it built into most northern transfers.
