hermione + annisa : february 14, mid - afternoon @ a local park @a-ghost-with--a-beating-heart

the years spent alongside with annisa had been the pinnacle of joy for hermione. they couldn't fathom a life without her now that they'd been together for so long - though, in truth, their feelings for the dancer had begun blooming the moment they locked eyes in the salon for the first time. ever since then, the idea that if they'd departed the salon without coyly asking for her landline had been blasphemous. and now enough time had passed to where hermione knew they didn't wish to delay the inevitable any more than they already had. after painstakingly selecting a ring they thought would suit their love the best, they'd arranged a picnic; the earth would be clad in a checkered blanket, atop it lit baby pink candles and a wicker basket containing annisa's very favorite meal and some snacks to enjoy afterward, a bottle of strawberry wine for what hermione hoped and prayed would be ample celebration, and, of course, the ring box. first, however, they'd have to pick their girlfriend up in their much beloved corvette and escort her to the park grounds where hopefully, their new life together would begin. "okay, eyes closed! ah, i'll just do it for ya," they'd escorted annisa out of the car and to the bottom of the hill where their picnic awaited them. "alright, just follow my lead," they instructed with both hands covering the other's eyes. once they'd scaled the hill and the picnic was in view, hermione tried to swallow their heartbeat. "alright, on the count of three: one, two... three!" then, they unveiled the surprise, a stupid, cheesy smile on their features. "tada!"
