ok so im tired of exporting chapters and wanna yap (<-only did two and its not like theyre long lmao)

for those who have read ch7 (ch8 on ao3 cuz of their labeling system) teruna (nicknamed teru by wistern our lovely mc) was introduced!! i have so many thoughts on her. fun fact i actually have a chapter on her that happens later in the linear timeline that i purposefully held off posting just so i can get that one out first. and now is the moment i realize i cant say more without spoilers. AAAAAAAA

ok topic swap so i need to say that wistern’s family is the family of gemstones. everyone in their lineage has one they correspond to, and it is made into jewelry that the wear basically 24/7. wistern is a purple amethyst, aeyan is a cat’s eye, iska is a pink topaz. crystals are important too. all gemstones are crystals, but not all crystals are gemstones. and glass can look like crystals if done right

i realize i need to yap abt counter verse for it to make true sense cuz rn its just really messy to outsiders but like it is not a good time rn lmaoooo

like also some is like spoilers in yap but also theres so much to it that it both does and doesnt matter and im also trying my best to incorporate symbolism and stuff and and and

never brainrot about your own series. i havent even made proper refs sheets but ive mapped out color developments and more and im withering in a corner

honestly all of my characters are fascinating to me in the way that i get to dissect myself without truly doing so

wistern. he is tired but stubborn enough to see things through if only by spite. held together by washi tape and prayers yet people think he is the most stable of them all. he just hasnt had time to go on a bender yet lmao. spite not be the right word though. no negative emotion. it’s the idea of loss. even if he didnt like it, it still took on a good amount of his life, and without it, even if he is happier, he loses a pillar. its scary, isnt it.

aeyan. the elder, the one who cares for them all. can make a halfway decent bowl of noodles out of stuff lying around. very empathetic, but also operates on an ignorance is bliss policy. even so, she wants to help people. is that really all that bad?

iska. the child, the gremlin, the loud one that brings the energy and the mood. xe is friends with everyone. knows everyone. but xe doesnt hang around enough for people to know xem. there is a difference between tired quiet and sad quiet, and xe is always pleasantly surprised when it is identified correctly. its fine. xe just wanted a nap.
