Although soundless, she made her displeasure known as her kind smile turned cold. In an instant the gentle smile had turned into a glare and if the girl continued her attempts to silence her, perhaps she would be tempted to ruin her.

Bargain Bin Rejects Bite Back!

This portion of our hero’s story opens with the eerie impulse to put on the costumes everyone’s so interested in. Ness resists!...for now anyway, though there’s this uncomfortable itching in the back of his mind, and he’s wound up in Sector One when he certainly hadn’t wanted to be here. 

Now he skirts the edges of the Sector, peeking over an overpass so he can stare down at the deranged sight of animate clothing. He’s put two and two together--those costumes contain copious concentrations of calamitous news.

Ness glances over at the girl he ran across just a few minutes ago. She’s pretty intense and serious, but that’s all right, she has every reason to be.

“No one you know is down there, right?” Hopefully none of her friends had transformed into a dime-store mockery of a vampire.

     “ Is there any help you required, this lady?” HER CROUCHING STATE nearby a small park posed a problem for this King, feeling the need to show his concern towards even minor matters. To get more acquainted with people easily would best the choice in this city. [ Asides, no evil intention he harbored to approach her at all. ]
