"Thank you", Lydia muttered softly as the cashier handed her the ticket for the movie. Clutching it in her hand she stepped forward and into the waiting area that hel the concession stand. The smell of popcorn spurred her on as she made her way towards the stand, buying a large buttered popcorn and a cup of Dr. Pepper. Her nerves were making her way through her system, she was never good at this; at dating and especially blind dates. Her hues flickered all over the area, wondering who was her special blind date.
Lydia had picked away at the popcorn in her hands when she noticed that the seating for the movie had begun. Not seeing anyone coming her way she followed the others. Instead of going inside she lingered behind, standing by the door. Maybe they were running late or that she was just being stood up. A sigh left her lips and as each second went by her hope swindled. Well she could always enjoy the movie herself, she turned and started to walk through the doors.
