16. what’s their reputation with goodsprings / novac / primm? 

pretty good all around!! xav makes friends wherever he goes though admittedly the primm folks weren’t huge fans of his bootlickr ‘put ncr in charge’ approach

34. do they goof around a lot? do other people find it funny or do they just entertain themselves? 

YES he goofs around constantly.. its p much constant joekes and silliness to distract him from his thoughts (tho he flips the switch from irreverent to maudlin like that futurama ihawk joke pretty quick too) most people find it fun but it does tend to get old after a while for most of the companions 

48. can they cook, and if so, what do they cook? what are their favorite & least favorite foods?

he’s a really good cook!! his fave food is brahmin ribs and his least fave would be anything involving eggs

15, 39?

15. what do the people in freeside think of them? the followers, the kings, the garrets, the van graffs?

Xavier is really well-liked around Freeside! He spends a lot of time there at the Wrangler and has a good rapport with the Garret twins. He also helps out the Followers and the Kings a lot (+ maybe has a bit of a crush on the King). The Van Graffs get a bit mad at him for not handing over Cass, but he ends up smoothing things over with them too. 100 Speech Babey!

39. have they ever been irradiated? how did they deal with it? did it have lasting effects

He’s stupidly foolhardy and got severe radiation poisoning twice. Once at Camp Searchlight and then at Cottonwood Cove. He’s still navigating the effects but he recovered surprisingly quick and is convinced he might have a special resiliency to radiation (remains to be seen if this is true..)

xav 3 and 7?

3. melee, guns, energy weapons, or unarmed?

guns and melee! xav’s main weapon is a good modded sniper rifle (AMR later) and his secondary is a 10mm pistol and a knife. think tactical knife from FPS games style where he wields the gun and keeps the knife in his supporting hand (this is also his main combat method in fo4 but without the sniper rifle)

7. favorite companions? least favorite companions?

he would Love veroncia they would be best friends and peak mlm/wlw solidarity. they both are chatty and prefer to keep conversation light and fun. 

he also works well with boone and maybe has some feelings for him that neither can fully address without months of awkward pining. i dunno if he’d have a least favourite companion at all but maybe arcade? it seems like they’d bicker a lot
