"Uh wah?" was Kaos' drowsy initial response as she tried to piece together what had led her to be in Ash's bed. Wait, Ash wasn't blue with pretty wings. There was a resemblance, but more than that, she sensed similar to a certain courier.

Kaos sat up slowly, shaking her head, finally getting an idea of what happened. "I was fighting some kind of beast, tougher than I expected. I musta dragged myself to your place." She grinned at her fellow elf. "You remind me of a friend of mine!"

"You know, I am amazed that they had enough tree to build all these signs, but they couldn't build a simple bridge."

  She's not surprised at all, though. This is usually how human nature works. It's easier to warn about danger than to eliminate it. Ivakir and Ash could have used all of these signs to make a bridge, but they didn't have nails.

  Since Ivakir was deprived of the instinct of self-preservation, she came to the very edge of the cliff. A stream raged under the bridge, sharp rocks protruded, and besides, a flock of vultures was flying.

“Don't tell me you're afraid,” she laughed and took a step forward. The bridge swayed dangerously, but Ivakir confidently put her boot on the board, and then stood with all her weight. Even her light weight was enough to make the board squeak ominously, but it didn't break under her. “See, it's okay,” she turned to Ash and waved. "If you're such a coward, then hold on to the rope."

Josiah’s gaze was off of the person talking to him, alert as he searched the distance for any sign of whoever who had been pursuing him. Nothing seemed quite right, and he wasn’t sure if he was being hunted by someone of his kind or by a bounty hunter. Neither were particularly desired, both were rather troublesome, but at least one of them he could survive should he need to. 

“Just stay alert, if you must help,” he spoke, not taking his eyes off of his surroundings, “I fear we’re not quite alone. Though if it’s all the same to you, you may make yourself safe. I’m afraid if you’re near me you won’t quite have that luxury.”

Moonstone Luster: Are there are any items they own that have sentimental value to them?

((Kira brought only a backpack and a dufflebag from the Brotherhood vault she escaped from. So she couldn't take too much, only things she thought she'd need or that were indeed sentimental to her.

1. A copy of the children's book: 'You're Special!' This book was one of her baby books that her father read to her. (Obviously a rip of the actual game book.) It sits tucked in a box under a floorboard under her bed in her room.

2. A butane blowtorch with the Brotherhood insignia engraved on the canister. It was one of her favorite tools that she was given when she started learning how to work on power armor. (Though she never finished that training.) It currently sits on her chemistry workbench at her office.

3. One of her dad's old plaid shirts. It's tucked away in the box with the book under her bed. Sometimes she holds it when she feels homesick.

4. A fountain pen and leather journal. The pen was repaired and given to her by her mother. The pen sits on her desk in the office. Though she seldom uses it. The journal is in the box under her bed. And she hasn't opened it once since she left the bunker.))

Or rather, Makoto didn't see the other there. Everything seemed to be a blur to her. Even more before when she lost in her thoughts. A sheepish smile swept across her lips.

“What do you believe in?” (Hello!)

"Believe in?" Confused, Kira looks to the other. They had only recently met, so it seemed a bit odd to be asking such a complicated question.

With a shrug of her shoulders she adds, "Not really any more or less than most other people I'd assume. My parents were religious, my mother moreso than my father. Though I guess after being out here in the great wide world for so long, I've found that I've lost most of my faith in that regard. Now they just seem like childhood stories I left behind."

She bites her lower lip lightly, unsure if she's oversharing. Then again, the stranger did ask.

"I believe that the only thing we can truly rely on, is ourselves. Humanity still has some sort of merit, but you are the master of your own destiny. Science, my medicine, gives me enough of a sense of purpose to keep me going in this hellhole. And I suppose..... maybe that's enough for me. Why do you ask?"

❝Huh? Oh.....um.....I think so.❞ The question barely process in Makoto’s mind. She couldn’t think straighten. Is she running a fever? Let’s hope not. This week is suppose to be busy for her. So, having to back out because of a fever is going to suck. It’s not that she didn’t want to push her limits. She knows when to take care of herself.
