Hi! I just started following you on lizziethereader and saw that you're an equestrian...I'm wondering if you've read The Scorpio Races by Maggie Stiefvater and what your thoughts/opinions are as someone who knows horses well?? (Granted, it's about fictional water horses, but just wondering!) Also, any recs for other horse books?

I read it this year and I really enjoyed it, there was nothing that seemed off about the equestrian stuff (except for the whole fictional sea monster horses thing, of course). If I’m not mistaken, Maggie Stiefvater is an equestrian as well, and I think it shows in the book that she knows her way around horses.
As for other horse books, I can’t say I have many good recommendations, unfortunately. I’ve only read a handful (and most of them were children’s books I read in German) and of those that I have read, I haven’t enjoyed that many.
What I do remember really enjoying is War Horse, but given that it’s a classic you might already have read it...
Maybe someone else has good suggestions?
