The words are flat --- delivered as though she were talking about nothing more extreme than a recent tariff change.  Not anything like you ought to speak about BEING FEARED BY ALL WHO KNOW HER.  But she must be as such, mustn’t she?  BECOME A STRONG QUEEN WHO DOESN’T FEEL.  She is not hurt by their fear, or offended, or angered.  Because she cannot allow herself to be any of those things.

Her eyes drift to him, far - away.  Her hands curl politely before her body.  “But not you.  Why is that?”

𝚃𝙷𝙴𝚁𝙴'𝚂 𝙰 𝙶𝙰𝚂𝙿 𝙰𝚂 𝙷𝙴'𝚂 𝙻𝙸𝙵𝚃𝙴𝙳 𝙾𝙵𝙵 𝙷𝙸𝚂 𝙵𝙴𝙴𝚃 , his hands instinctively grabbing onto akira’s shoulders to brace himself as he’s spun around ----- truth be told , he hates when it does this , hates the shock he feels when he’s suddenly grabbed . [ not to mention he forgets how strong akira is , able to pick goro up with ease . annoying . ] however , he can’t bring himself to complain ... not when akira has that grin on his face every time he sets him back down , one that makes goro’s heart beat a bit faster and leads him to sigh in fond exasperation . he can’t stand him in these moments  /  he’s reminded that he loves him , and it stings .     ❛     you’re this excited to see me ? i’m flattered .     ❜     the carefully sculpted smile on his face is a bit strained ; he’s rather dizzy .     ❛     you may need to lead me upstairs , you’ve thrown off my balance quite a bit .     ❜
