update!
i only have ten more days Up North before i fly home; that's crazy! i've been here for about five weeks now. i made a bit of a video update but the video editing software i have on my computer wouldn't do what i wanted to it so i abandoned that project lol. basically what I was talking about was that these past two (soon to be three) weeks of clinical seem to be going by so much faster than the first three weeks. i think that this has to do with a number of things. in our clinical placement, i feel like we're kind of getting into the groove and we know what's going on, so that makes it go quicker. also, just the fact that it feels like we're in the "home stretch" so to speak of the clinical makes it seem like everything's moving faster than before. it's kind of like when you're driving to a new place it feelr like it takes forever, but when you're driving home it seems way faster. another thing i've been thinking about its actually getting home. i'm on the same flight home as both of the instructors that came up with us and they have a rental car so i can get a ride to the airport with them which is great! i've also been thinking about the flight home. my parents are from Ontario so we'd often fly there in the summers to visit. that trip to me always seemed like it took a whole day. we'd leavin early in the morning, or late at night if we were flying overnight, we'd often fly to from our hometown to Vancouver, then maybe another stop in Calgary, and end up in Toronto or Ottawa. especially with the time change, it took a day. flying home from here though, doesn't feel like it takes a day. my flight is at 13:00, so i get to the airport at likt 11:30, flight it at 13:00, and i'm home by 15:30. that's not a day. i mean, i can't really do anything in the morning before i go because i'll probably have some last minute packing to do, but my day won't be completely over when i get home. so that's noce. also kind of weird. idk. apparently the facility that we've been in has an anual publication or something that they do and they wanted to hear from the students about our experience here, so i'm writing a thing for that, so that's cool. it counts for one of my critical reflections but i don't have to write it like a critical reflection. i've already written four, which is all we need, but I have mroe things i want to write about so we'll see if i actually get them out in time.
