Happy 7th birthday to the Power Rangers movie!
I was seventeen when I saw it in my Theater, and I feeled so connected to Trini. I was not yet out, my family was not really okay about that, and my sister finally accept that I would never be attracted of man when I was in my twenty.
The movie made me wish, one day I would find a group of persons, that accept me no matter what.
I miss the Cast so much, and I'm still so mad we never get the sequel, like just a closure would be fine. Tommy was supposed to be a girl in the sequel, come on! (and 6 others movies was initially planed, but well you see where we are actually)
And I miss the fandom around the Trimberly ship...
Like we were really active during 3 years I think? After the announcement of the new reboot of the movie, the fandom slowly died.
rewatching power rangers is great tbh bc i’m picking up on extra shit like the way after the explosion at the mine these two ran off TOGETHER. they didn’t even KNOW EACH OTHER AND THEY RAN AWAY W EACH OTHER 😫😫
no bc the way jason doubles back to make sure billy's following him, and kim follows trini even though she knows for a fact that billy and jason have a van because she couldn't let trini go down alone.

Relationships: Cranscott and Trimberly, but it’s really a Gen fic.
Jason couldn’t help but smile. This was his first Pride! He was out! He had a boyfriend! And his best friends were here! Trini and Kim were also here celebrating their gayness. And Zack tagged along, wearing a pan flag painted on his cheek. It was a special kind of feeling when your whole gang was queer and just living in their own skin.

So every now and then I get a comment about SPORES saying that it's dumb or bad because one of Billy's plots or character motivations is that he and Jason haven't had sex yet and he's upset about it. And yeah I get that taking a precious character like Billy in a superhero movie and having him think those thoughts might be a no for some. But it's an attempt to show Billy's growing curiosity about his body and his growing confidence in his relationship with Jason. And I'd argue that any of us that have been in a romantic relationship have had moments of 'what if I'm not good/cool/sexy enough for them?' And for Billy in that specific situation (being possessed by 'punk' spores... yeah it sounds silly go with it) that's the only way he's able to verbalize and acknowledge it.
Am I the greatest writer? Probably not. Did I get that point across through the text? Idk. I just wrote what I was feeling and attempted to lay an overall storyline over ALL the Purple series that Billy is growing more confident as time passes.
I quite like the series tho. 🤷♂️
