Im sick of this favortism shit!
Gah. Just got a phone call from my boss. Standard work stuff. Then he asks if my coworker was in the office. Well, no, she left 30 minutes early because she has 6 hours of overtime from last week while I was gone. This prompts a very cranky rant about how we need to clear these things with him and how we never do and how he just gave both of us large raises (which is a completely different story) and he doesn't feel the gratitude from us and neither of us has said thank you.
'Scuse you, dude, when you handed me my first check with that raise, I SAID THANK YOU. I TOLD YOU I APPRECIATED IT. I dislike your selective memory, but I don't say anything to you about it because it isn't polite.
I understand that you're feeling like all your effort and money is being wasted on us ingrates. But as a boss, you do not talk to your employee like you just talked to me. It is not appropriate. Please calm yourself and talk to me like a civilized human being, not a child pitching a fit.
Next staff meeting is going to be glorious.
