Today I had something insane happen to me at work
SO I was at work, giving this lady her order. She seems to be in her 70s and I've served her before. She seemed a bit clueless at times, but still aware and not super worn down by her age. Until today she didn't seem senile.
She's just ordered a small popcorn which was $6.47. I guess she'd thought she'd ordered a small diet coke too, but I didn't hear her ask for it so I only rang up the popcorn.
After I give her the popcorn, I went to get water for another customer, and I turned back around to see her holding my metal Saja Boys cup. She goes "oh this is cute" and I responded "yeah, I got it at comic con" to indicate that the cup is mine. She didn't seem to get the hint, and still for some reason assumes that my metal Saja boys cup has her diet coke in it, and TAKES A SIP OUT OF IT and as she was sipping it, I kept repeating "that's my cup." Either she was ignoring me or just didn't hear me, because she didn't have any reaction to the fact that she was drinking out of a cup THAT WASN'T HERS. After sipping it she goes "it has no flavor." YEAH BECAUSE IT'S MY CUP OF WATER. NOT YOUR DIET COKE THAT YOU DIDNT EVEN ASK FOR.
Also, what makes her think that $6.47 would cover the cost of her popcorn and a METAL CUP WITH FICTIONAL CHARACTERS ON IT FROM A VERY POPULAR MOVIE, let alone a drink in a regular paper cup in this economy??
