Jigen/Mash 1969

I’d rewatched Hemingway Papers earlier this year and really wanted to draw a young Jigen and Mash. I have oh so many headcanons for them. I’ve got a bunch of these old photo style illustrations in my backlog and I’m thinking I’ll post them on my Patreon/VIP Blog once The Curtain Falls is over, then collect them all into a zine! I was recently talking with my partner and my friend about au where Mash is alive after the action of Hemingway Papers movie and Lupin tries to get to work with him. This is one of the memories from the past in this au.

We got to the conclusion, that in this au that backstabbing on Siberia was at the day of Mash's and Jigen's aniversary. They even got to exchange presents.

Jigen wanted to show his appreciation for being here for him. Mash wanted to close this chapter of their life before his planned betrayal.
