what would the kits of a longfurred pale cream tabby point (male) and a tortiseshell look like?
If the tortie is longhaired, the kits will all be longhaired. If the tortie is shorthaired but carries the longhaired gene, each kit has a 50/50 chance of being longhaired vs. shorthaired. If the tortie is shorthaired and doesn’t carry the longhaired gene, every kit will be shorthaired.
The female kits can be either red/cream-based or tortie-based. The male kits can be either red/cream-based or black-based.
If the tortie carries dilute, each kit will have a 50/50 chance of being dilute (red > cream, black > grey, tortie > blue-cream tortie). Otherwise the kits will all be non-dilute.
If the male carries solid, each kit will have a 50/50 chance of being solid, except the red/cream ones (red/cream kits will always be tabbies). Otherwise, every kit will be a tabby.
If the tortie carries a pointing or albinism gene, each kit will have a 50/50 chance of being a point (or mink, if she carries the sepia gene). Otherwise, every kit will be non-point.
