Finally got to see Aquaman over the weekend!!  I really liked it!  A lot!   Moment of truth--I really was expecting to like it... more then I did. There. I said it.   It was a spectacle!  I thought special effects were great -- Aquaman plunging thru the ocean hounded by the sea monsters was easily my fav scene of the movie--a really great graphic moment. I enjoyed all the sea creatures (why seahorses suddenly have legs--dunno, but whateves). I didn't like the Black Manta bits.  Yes, he's Aquaman's total enemy I get it.  But he was bested TWICE in this movie and if you're setting him up for Aquaman #2 he's comin' in pretty weak.  The B plot didn't work for me. Dolf Lundgren--I didn't recognize who was playing Nereus until Barry told me--then WOW!  Graham Mctavish--needed far more screen time.  Riveting in everything he's ever done. @prideofgypseyies Jason Mamoa's Arthur was definitely a snack and didn't disappoint it's great to see his acting chops! He looked like he had a blast making this movie. Go to a comic shop -- brick and mortar is fine or online-- might I recommend @indyPlanet for your independent comic fix.
