It might not be a masterpiece but I made it with my hands. I willed and crafted it into being where no one else could. No one can make as I do. It is all unique and perfect in the way it is mine.

A little over a year ago, someone was giving away an old sewing machine that still works. I took it, hoping that I'd have a place to set it up for Neptune and Meadow to stop using (and breaking) mine.

Since we completely reorganized the playroom last week, the desk that had been used as a dumping grounds was clear. Today, I moved the "kids' machine" from under my sewing desk up their playroom.

Showed Meadow how to thread it, how to raise/lower the foot, how to sew in reverse, and how to "steer" the fabric through.

She's been sewing lines in paper the whole afternoon - making pictures with the thread. Pretty cool.

She wants to sew her own dresses.

Another thing I really want to get back to, but haven't so far? Bass practice/lessons!

(As I keep getting reminded, with e-mail notifications from Talkingbass! 🙄)

With that, I fully expect to need to do more backtracking to find a good point to start again. Besides needing to physically build up finger strength, etc. again.

But, that prospect hasn't felt mentally daunting in the same ways? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Anyway, I should ask Mr. C to bring me the headphone and bigger practice amps out of the bedroom. Wouldn't be surprised if the strings on the instrument are flat so that I need to restring it by now, but that's totally doable.

I just haven't been doing as many creative things lately, when that's always been an important part of R&R for me. Really should get back into several other things, tbh.

Around the start of quarantine, @s-k-y-w-a-l-k-e-r posted THIS AMAZING GIF TUTORIAL. I was so excited to try out something new and never could have done it without her tutorial. I know she’s busy as hell with work, but I thought this would be something nice for her to log in and see.

So, THANK YOU, sweet friend; here’s the progress I’ve made (selective color, brightening = YAS).

It’s so fun to learn new things, and I highly encourage folks to try something new, especially if they’ve been putting it off. It can be quite the rewarding experience.

I know this may seem odd but I’ve been wondering. Do you like fan art or anything else like it? Because I know that some creators don’t like it.

Of course! Anything you all are willing to share with me, I would be more than willing to see. Even if it’s a group of stick figures I would still feel privileged that you were willing to devote your time into it— not that you’re any less of an artist if you only draw stick figures. Any stories or creative outlets when in regards to my stories are also always welcomed. Like I said before, anything you guys are willing to do I’m willing to see it ❤️.

You know OP, Megs I get dealing with Starscream must be hard. But I think I know a bit about what's going on with him! He doesn't trust you two, Megs was well. Megatron. And OP you were the leader of the enemy faction he was fighting. Might be why he acts out so much, I don't think time outs and lectures will help here. Sending him to rung was a good idea, but maybe try some positive reinforcement and bonding time! Tho... Unfortunately there's a chance he just can't stay with you two while he heals. Also! Poisoning Megs was wrong, but to him it might be a safety thing. While sick Megatron can't do anything you know? -🦖

I am trying to give positive reinforcement where I can. Favourite foods, Cybertronian milkshakes... trouble is, I can't reward bad behaviour. I'm hoping Rung can help with that. If he can be calm and behave himself, I can give ample rewards.

Yes, I have tried to encourage him to let his feelings out... creatively. I've tried getting him into sports, too, but that seems to bring out his vindictive streak. Maybe I should try getting him into more creative things. Grimlock has started using air-drying clay...

Somehow, the words "Grimlock", "creative" and "pottery" were not ones I expected to hear used together.
