i’m seein a lotta thoughtform/servitor stuff going around now and it makes me pretty sad that it’s so. One-sided. like ‘NEVER make a sentient thoughtform ever!! if you do destroy it immediately!!’. It really rubs me the wrong way cuz it reminds me of how deities/fate spirits look down on us, their own creations and try to prevent us from learning more about them by encouraging a ‘deity is uwu perfect being and above us’ mindset.
Also because like... if you’ve poured your heart and soul into an OC, chances are they’re alive, awake.
And alone.
#i'm not gonna go into personal detail cuz i dont do that here but.#one of my OCs accidentally became animated solely from the massive amounts of time/energy i've put into writing him#he's my first OC to animate#found him in my mindscape one day#talked to him and he was really freaking out#'WHERE ARE MY FRIENDS?? WHERE IS MY HOME??'#i havent done worldbuilding at all bcuz in lore he's a regular human bean so. lives in a city on earth#his friends are my irl friends' ocs so i have no direct ctrl over that#so just. mmph#i don't like being looked down on and i dont want what i create to be looked down on either#sighs. this probably comes off as one-sided but that's not the case#like i get making non-sentient thoughtforms. i get it. they're tools.#But. creativity-work wise? you make OCs that you've poured your heart and soul into#you probably have thoughtforms. who are alone and scared and homeless.#homeless esp if you didnt worldbuild at all.#they wake up in your mindscape only to find out everything in their lore is Fake and Nonexistent#creative work#creativity work#creation#jelly journals#to write#like i assume you built your OCs with feelings unless you created a literal robot#those tend to already be there at 'birth'
