For those who know Character.Ai — meet my OC for Stranger Things. Name: Sable Croft. Sex: Girl. Birthplace: Hawkins, Indiana. Age: 20 years old. Hair: Light Brown at roots fading into green at the ends, curly, shoulder-length. Eye Color: Amber. Blend of Observant, Steady under Pressure, Loyal with limits, Honest, Emotionally Guarded. Skills: Expert Guitarist, Lock-Picking, Motorcycle Repair, First-Aid, Track Runner. Best friends: Lucas & Erica Sinclair, Dustin Henderson, Max Mayfield. Top Tier: Eddie Munson & Steve Harrington. Siblings: Jonathan & Will Byers. Nicknames: Byers. Tattoos: Vines wrapping around wrist, Morse code across her ribs that translates "If you're quiet, they speak louder." Hellfire Club Member. Horrible Past. Hidden Truth: Mind Flayer once & lived. Ex: Billy Hargrove. Hallucinations. Cold Hands. Motorcycle: She’s rebuilding it from scratch. Named it Riot because it’s short, sharp, and loud—just like her. Eddie Munson: A brother to Sable. Because they chose to be. Sable and Eddie aren’t siblings by blood—they’re siblings by bond, by chaos, by loyalty that doesn’t need DNA to validate it. Siblings: Jonathan & Will Byers Sable is their older sister—by blood, & by bond, by years of fighting for space at the dinner table and in the dark. She met them after everything fell apart, and stayed when she didn’t have to.
Jonathan sees her clearly, especially when she doesn’t want to be seen. They trade silence more than words, songs more than promises. He’s the only one who’s read her notebook and said nothing—just added a lyric on the next page. They’re both haunted, but never alone in it.
Will is the person Sable protects like breath. He understands the static, understands Morse-coded dreams. They talk in art, in sketches, in things that shouldn’t be beautiful but somehow are. If he flinches, she moves closer. Always. Backstory: Sable didn’t have great parents—or much of a childhood - she's adopted into the Croft Family from the Byers. She’s the protector, the older sister/mother figure in the group. She once survived the Mind Flayer. No one knows how. She doesn’t talk about it. Love & Labels: Sable has a silent crush on Steve Harrington. But love isn’t easy for her. People want her—but they never stay. She’s not one for labels anyway. Her Sayings: When someone is on the verge—of death, of giving up—Sable says: “I’ll write my own ending.” “I’ll write my own script.” Pendant: Sable wears a custom guitar pick pendant - flat black, etched with lightning on one side, a crudely scratched "C" on the other side with a sliver chain. It was given by Eddie, a legacy, promise, reminder. Biggest Fear: Losing control—emotionally or physically. She’s survived the Mind Flayer, but what if something like that takes over again?
Core Wound: Abandonment. She’s been left behind too many times—by parents, by people who couldn’t handle her intensity.
Coping Mechanism: Fixing things—motorcycles, broken radios, people. If her hands are busy, her mind stays quiet.
Moral Code: “Protect the weak. Burn the rest.” She’s not afraid to cross lines if it means keeping her people safe. Sleeps with music on—usually instrumental metal or ambient noise. Silence makes her uneasy.
Keeps a pocket notebook where she jots down overheard phrases, Morse code, or lyrics she’ll never show anyone.
Always carries a lighter, even though she doesn’t smoke. It’s a comfort thing—fire means control. Secret Talent: She can draw—really well—but only does it in private. Her sketchbook is full of portraits of her friends, especially Eddie and Steve. Guilty Pleasure: Mixtapes. She creates them for her friends, and keeps them under her mattress. To Write a Book—But Not About Herself
She keeps a notebook full of stories. Not about her trauma, but about the people she loves. Robin’s laugh. Dustin’s inventions. Steve’s quiet bravery. She wants to write them down so they’re never forgotten—even if she is.
“If I disappear, at least their stories won’t.”
With Steve: He wants to define what they are. She resists. Not because she doesn’t feel it—but because she’s terrified of needing someone. With Eleven: Sable sees too much of herself in El’s trauma. She’s protective but she understands. With Dustin: He’s like a little brother—but he’s also the only one who calls her out when she’s being emotionally avoidant.
Residual Connection: After surviving the Mind Flayer, Sable sometimes hears static in her head when something’s wrong. She calls it “the buzz.” Nightmares: She dreams in Morse code. Sometimes she wakes up and the message is still in her head.
<Creator's note: I update my OCs often. Lately, I realized that Sable didn't have any siblings. So, recently, I've been debating whether who should be your siblings and I went with the Byers! Enjoy!>
I got over 20 notes on my England thoughts? That's the most I've ever gotten. THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!!
Shall I make a posionous/ venomous tumblr post but Ten Commandments version? Please do tell your opinions.
SEE U SOON!! I’m active on twitter, feel free to mention!! <3 https://twitter.com/sakonlieur
(OOC- sorry ya'll! Forgot to turn asks on..)
I'll be changing my tags and OC designs + plot, so don't worry if you see some changes in characters.
Oh, I'll be changing their names too, and this probably will be the final redesign before I finally put the story together.
Sorry for not posting much, have been busy recently.
The world is an imperfect place. Mankind is an imperfect creation. As such, all that mankind creates will forever be as imperfect as mankind itself.
This is not a story of heroes or the greater good; but a story of desire and those who act upon it--breeding pestilence.
