I just got back into the whole shipping thing and it's bizarre how much anger people invest in fictional couples, or the idea of a couple.

Right??? You'd think people would leave each other's preferences and just agree to disagree, but nah. Of course there has to be a screed on why a ship is bad, bad, bad.

Reminds me of the HP fandom tbh. Although I was never in the fandom the shipping wars between Harry/Hermione and Ron/Hermione pretty much turned me off shipping in general. I recall reading about it a great deal in Fandom Wank. The H/HR ship was even named "Harmony" because apparently the shippers think that Ron/Hermione was too discordant or whatever. Gawd, just remembering all the shit that happened (and all the collateral shit that went down after)... damn.

Honestly, in comparison the shipping debates happening in the Dragon Age fandom right now are like walks in the park compared to the all-scale wars back then.

Did you use the character boost yet?

I used it with my Troll Druid because she's still my main. In retrospect it's a bad idea because I only had, what, four levels to 90 XD; But honestly at this point I don't have any plans playing with my other characters yet (aside from the Monk). And I really don't want to boost my lowbies because there's just too many things that changed. Hell, I'm still trying to understand the new mechanics for my Druid and I've been playing that class for a long-ass time.

IKR? It's a little mindblowing that I even have 10K posts. But hey, we've been in Tumblr for 4+ years; I get the feeling that 16K is merely an average number for active blogs that have been in Tumblr for less than 2 years. XD

Yeah, seriously. I mean, I can understand closing it off when you just keep going back and forth with your argument (at some point you really have to stop), but making that comment right away without even waiting for the other person to defend themself? That's not only cowardice, that's just extremely rude.

It might have helped if Ubisoft had given their personal stories more focus/more relationships like they did with Ezio. With Conner it felt very "look at all these historical people he interacts with!".

To be fair we see this during the Homestead missions. Unfortunately, though, some gamers think that that part of the game is unnecessary and lost the game's momentum or some shit. :\ So it's not unlikely that they just skipped those missions all together. Very unfortunate, because they really gave a glimpse to Connor's non-Assassin side.
