Normal people don't, when you ignore them on tumblr, don't hunt down what they THINK is your twitter to start harassing you there.

And the creepiest thing is that he won't take responsibility of his own actions. He's actually said that it's not his fault that he hears about these posts because, like, his Asks tell him about these posts, apparently.

Which is like.... so? That doesn't mean he has to go see these posts, let alone respond to them. Bogleech, and bogleech alone, has made the choice to respond. Bogleech alone has made the choice to keep chasing me across different forms of communication, including on ENTIRELY different sites.

Even where I don't mention him by name.

But he won't accept responsibility for that. He HAS to blame it on me tagging him (even when I don't), he HAS to blame it on his Asks.

It's everyone's fault but his.

Because if he admitted he overstepped a line, that might mean he's done mistakes elsewhere, and god forbid that happen.

From someone who's followed Bogleech for a while: he has said before that he thinks it's more considerate to discuss a grievance in private (asks/DMs, to a lesser extent replies) than to jump to publicly airing them in public posts. Which may explain the shift to DMs, but doesn't excuse the refusal to Stop Engaging with an issue/user that he's hung up on. (Which has also come up before.)

On one level, that does make sense - and from a normal person who I could assume a baseline level of consideration from, maybe I'd entertain that more.

However, in my eyes, it just makes it easier for him to skimp on accountability, because he can be even more of a gross person in private and, if you disagree with him, there's nothing stopping him from taking your words out of context to paint you in the worst possible light.

That's part of what kicked this whole thing off in the first place - him pedojacketing a trans person by taking their words on general censorship out of context and posting them to his rabid followers, who then made heinous accusations towards that person.

As far as I'm concerned, no one should feel safe in a private conversation with the guy, and I remain skeptical that he truly thinks it's "more considerate".

It's always curious how people like @sanityshorror love to make assumptions about the sexual habits of people who disagree with them or whatever weirdo tumblr celebrity they've parasocially attached themselves to.

I'm a CSA survivor. I've outright said lolisho isn't my thing. Anyone who actually pays attention understands the kind of art I actually commission.

But for people like sanityhorror and bogleech, they TRULY cannot stand that a CSA survivor who doesn't like lolisho would disagree with their glorious savior selves. I'm outspoken and loud and sexual, and that's not the kind of "CSA victim" they like to think about.

Anyway. Sanityshorror. No, I'm not ""pro-CP"". I'm just pointing out a variety of facts you don't like, which I pointed out to bogleech, and which both of you have refused to address.

(For example, there's no indication that fictional content like lolisho has any connection with an increase in CSA. Or that actual organizations that REALLY fight against CSA and child trafficking hate the term "CP". I could keep going.)

Also, no. Lolisho isn't being made illegal. At least, not in the United States, and many other countries. Don't know where you heard that.

In regards to the "problematic content" discussion: Why do people like Bog never want to discuss how that kind of content can actually help survivors cope, or even realize what happened to them? I was well into my adulthood before I realized/accepted it, and of all things, it was DanaerysxKhal Drogo that made something in my brain go hey wait a minute. Like, entertainment media can help trauma survivors exponentially.

Well, you see, while bogleech may not be a trained and certified therapist/psychiatrist, he vored someone who read a dictionary definition on "coping mechanisms" once, so he TOTALLY knows everything there is to know about every single survivor of CSA.

And, because it's inconvenient to him, he says it's actually a really terrible coping mechanism, and maybe you should keep it more private and just shut up.

I'm being sarcastic, but this is also literally what he said to me. Literally admitted that it didn't matter that some people only realized they were abused by finding fics tagged with abuse.

You see, it actually HELPS victims if it's made harder for victims to publicly discuss or write about their trauma. /wanking gesture

How can bogleech be so fucking bad at critical thinking when it comes to this omg!?

Like, the target audience for kids shows is kids, so most of the main characters in kids shows are kids. It is therefore very likely that a kid-in-fandom' favorite character is a kid, and that any ship (if they have one) is going to contain at least one kid.

Predators use kids' interests to groom them. If that interest is kids shows and shipping within the fandom for said shows, guess what you are going to see statistically overrepresented as a grooming tool if you look at the (fairly big) part of fandom that is shipping, compared with the non-shipping parts of it or socity at large?

It does not follow, however, that most people in active online fandom (those that post stuff about their interest) for those franchises are kids, or that the main tag is a sfw space. If a site allows nsfw posts, that goes for the whole site.

People have a responsibility to keep their Mature-themed posts properly labeled within site rules and the law, and to age-check and obtain meaningful consent before interacting with anyone sexually online. But posting into the void is not an interaction, and interactions can happen over any kind of ship, character, celeb, or spontaneously, and within any space.

Yeah, there's a lot wrong with his arguments, but rather than maybe listening to people with scientific proof on their side, or actual CSA survivors who disagree with him, or even basic logic....

So often people seem to think that the person who delivers their point the most calmly and evenly is in the right, that getting upset is evidence that you’re the one in the wrong, and that whoever continues to act (for want of a better word) “professionally” is the winner of an argument.
