There was never anything interesting going on in the kingdom Monoma lived in. Once in a while, there will be new faces, new travelers that won’t stay for long. Either because they made off with what they wanted, or Sirens would get them. Either way, it was so boring to stick around there for too long. So of course the boy would swim in any body of water to see what else was around. Not swim too far from his kingdom. Not that he didn’t have enough confidence to to defend himself if something were to happen. Then again, it would depend of his attackers had something the boy could use against them. That was always a nifty expression to see- the look of shock when their own power or ability is used against them.
Though swimming in water where Monoma would find it difficult to swim away at full speed, he poke his head out from under water to to find someone who... well, was lost in his own thought. Staring down at the water. Contemplating his own life perhaps? A perfect moment to ruin that. After all, it isn’t as if this dragon-like being could do anything about it. That’s how confident the merman felt.
Sneaking up a little closer, the boy would speak loud enough to drag whatever thought laid around the other’s mind. “You knooooow.... there are other places to mope around. Someone could easily see you there and call you out on that. Like right now.~ You’ll make the whole forest kill itself with such a contemplative expression.~” He couldn’t help but keep his coy smile up, waiting in some anticipation of what the other would do next. It would be fire against water after all.
