hi! any updates on how crests corrupted is going? or if you don't want to answer that, what do you think it would be like for hikari and the other chosen in cc to meet daiken from 02 canon?

cc is going as it always goes these days, slowly and in the most frustrating way possible! there’s a LOT happening in the next few chapters and most of its really emotionally intensive, so it takes me a while to write. but it is being written. i can’t promise when the next chapter will be out, mostly bc my grasp of time has fallen apart entirely these days, but i promise it is being worked on and I’m sorry i can’t give a more accurate estimate, I just don’t want to make promises i probably won’t keep.

and as for them meeting canon daiken... oh boy. that would be a heartbreak and a half. To take them from a version where the two brought out the worst in each other and move them to where they brought out the best, ... I think that would be really cruel actually. I don’t know if they’d ever really be able to move past that initial gut punch of shock/horror, like, i don’t think it would ever really sink in for them. it would just be too much of a cognitive dissonance. Some part of them would just be constantly stuck at the “what the fuck” stage every time they looked at the two.

at the very least they’d definitely have more of an understanding of where Taichi’s been coming from.

I've been reading Crests Corrupted lately, and I noticed how you gave both Takeru and Ken character songs in the last few chapters. Are there any songs you have in mind to fit the other four?

Yes actually! a bit of a playlist has developed these past few months for the fic with some help from some friends and i’ve just had to use it for the chapter titles i can’t help myself. Almost every character has a song or three for themselves, plus there’s ones for the story in general, or specific arcs and relationships. The only one who doesn’t is Iori, I’ve been having a hard time finding a character song for him, bc he’s a brat like that.

(I’m lying Iori is the best and I love him)
