When asked his favourite colour, Crexal usually replies with something rather vague: "It's the colour of the Sea." Now, almost any dragon who has ever flown over or through the Sea of a Thousand Currents could tell you that it rarely keeps the same colour for more than an hour or so. Some dragons simply dismiss the answer, assuming that it's something to do with his clan devotion: a water dragon, born to water, in a water lair probably feels very strongly about the Sea, after all. It's not that they're necessarily wrong, only that they've missed a very important aspect of Crexal's life. As a completely colour-blind dragon, Crexal has never actually seen the shades of blue that make up the Sea. His favourite colour, therefore, is a shade that he has imagined the grey shifting waters represent. Vivid and intense, it's more a feeling than anything other dragons might describe as colour, but it's comforting all the same.

Crexal is one of the longest serving dragons in the clan, having hatched from the clan's very first egg. Typically, he serves as a hunter, and as one of the Clan Guard, protecting other, more peaceful dragons as they gather necessary materials and plants for the clan. He's a protective soul all round, really; he worries for his friends when they're out of sight, and constantly wants to make their lives better in little ways, though he seldom succeeds at expressing this desire.

Found on a scavenging hunt, Crexal is boisterous and loud, but intensely loyal to his foster clan. He is a keen hunter and warrior and has received more than a few scrapes for his trouble, both in the coliseum and the flats that surround the cave. He likes to explore and often leads hunting parties and expeditions into unknown territories, heedless of the damage he might take. A typical Mirror, he doesn't really like being off the ground for long periods of time, but slinks easily along the ground, steps muffled by the mud of the flats that he has long since turned to his own advantage. He used to play with his nestmates Altawk and Alcia as a hatchling, but Altawk has since left tha clan to serve the Tidelord and Alcia grows increasingly unstable, day by day. Crexal worries for her but doesn't know what to do. For now, he watches and hopes.
