((Oh boy, this au. Please heed the tags, this one shows the trajectory our Kura is currently going down, I think
-
Disgusting displays of opulence.
Each one of the vermins bathing in their unique vanity.
How many of them are here because of the exploitation they could afford?
How many of them were here because of the 'people' they paid to 'protect' them.
Cheering on faux heroes to make themselves feel better about those within slums, so that they don't have to think about them because they're 'taken care of.'
Of course they choose not to think about if anything is changing.
Twenty-four rows, twenty-two seats per row, that's just above five hundred people. Five hundred people gathered together, engaging in frivolities while people suffer under them.
Unforgivable.
Kura's grip on the handlebar tightened, gritting his teeth. On the screen was some sort of movie or play, nothing he recognized, gaggles of vermin watching it from the comfort of their seats.
Kura deeply inhaled, letting tension leave his body, he wouldn't act without reason, he wasn't a baseless animal. If he was precise he could get them all in under half an hour, maybe a bit more than that.
He reached into his cloak, retrieving a small handful of uncut crystals. A small smirk formed on his face, gems are suitable for an opulent cesspit such as this, maybe even too obvious.
Kura shook his head, it'd be fine, maybe people needed him to be more obvious so their idiotic brains could finally comprehend what world they're participating in.
Raising his hand to his lips, Kura closed his eyes. A candle appeared in his mind, a lit wick burning brightly against the dark background.
A gentle fire, sharing its warmth with the oppressive darkness around it, burning with a certain kind of hope to it, even though it was a lone light within the dark.
Wax ran down the side of sides of the candle, and the fire continued to burn, staying as bright and brilliant as it had originally.
But time had passed, and with time it became cold. The candle waned, the flames flickered, reaching halfway down the candle. It wanted to continue, but it got colder, and colder.
Frost cooled down the melting wax, using it to climb up the sides of the candle. The fire dimmed, flickering wildly out of control. It choked on what little fuel the ice had left for it.
The candle extinguished before it could burn out, dying slowly against the oppressive darkness.
Whispering the last words he needed, Kura gently opened his eyes, He clutched the crystals with in his hand, holding them out in front of him, "Now Go, Act Upon My Will."
And he let go.
Kura rushed to lean over the hand railing, bubbling in excitement, in just a few moments-
Bullets erupted the instant the gems hit the floor, pinging against the auditorium's floors and walls. Kura's eyes raced across the room, trying to follow one bullet distinctly was impossible.
Bright streaks of color clashed against the darkness, jumping from one person to the next, plunging from seat to seat, tearing through flesh and fabric like it was nothing.
Terror and confusion soon followed, screams ringing throughout the halls. Vermin fell over in their seats like puppets who had their strings cut. Some selfish and lucky enough began clambering towards the emergency exit downstairs.
He shook his head, vain efforts won't get rewarded. Kura retrieved another handful - another snuffed out candle - tossing the gemstones proudly in the air.
They clattered around again, ricocheting wildly like dice. Their only targets being the people below them, cutting into their skin and rapidly bouncing back for the next one to plummet through their heart.
A shrill scream broke out, followed by hysteric sobs. Kura shifted his gaze, somebody had twisted their ankle while making their desperate chance for escape.
They panicked, screaming for somebody to help them, being drowned out by the sounds of others and their own hysterics. Shame. Kura didn't think he was that sloppy.
A hail of gemstones shot into them at once, shredding the vermin's body, once the shrill sound stopped, they zipped past to find new targets to latch onto.
Kura continued to watch it unfold on top of the stairs, the movie or whatever it was, still played without interruption, though he doubted anyone was paying attention.
They were all focused on breaking down the emergency exit, morons. Kura already took the liberty of cutting them off from the outside world. Though it would be troublesome if they were somehow to break the ice blocking it. Hm.
The gemstones slowed down, finding the last of their victims to embed themselves into until they were called upon again. Kura traced the railings with his hand, walking down the isles, taking care to avoid stepping on any bodies.
It was much quieter than before, he tuned his ears to listen in on his surroundings. The dripping of blood, rasps of those who hadn't died quite yet, and those piling at the front of the exit.
Kura's eyes watched them with cruel fixation, beginning to pile up against the door, a few of them brave enough to stand in between him and the rest, he'd almost call it admirable.
Oh, oh that reminds him. Kura snickered, he could feel his face twisting into a sneer. Ghost would just adore it, performance for performance isn't it? Wouldn't that be fitting.
But he had to deal with the leftovers before they became problematic, honestly he couldn't care about whatever they were blabbing to him about. It'd be the same spiel of mercy or mock heroism he's all too bored of.
Kura extended out his arm towards, opening up his empty hand, nothing falling out and hitting the floor.
The candle extinguished before it got to halfway.
Icicles skewered them from beneath before they even had time to react, impaling all of their chests and heads, spikes exploding outwards like barbs from the inside out.
That was the last of them.
He looked around the auditorium, it was just him now, the credits on the screen began rolling, everyone had gone silent. Just him.
Kura hummed quietly, dragging bodies from the front row, up onto the stage, smearing his hands in their blood. He used them as props, framing the screen with death bodies, mashing their hands covered in their own blood against the screen like it was their doing.
After that, Kura coated his hands in the pooling blood around him, slithering his hands across the screen, painting letters for...Somebody.
“GHOST IS A HERO!”
