I'm one who would love a scarian centric crimes au. I loved your mumscarian in the first one but I'm a scarian fiend at heart and especially in this particular circumstance I think it would be really interesting. Would mumbo still become jealous? What changes about their dynamic? It will be super intriguing to read how it changes the subtle things.

the jealousy isn't a thing that would happen I think, even if we had kept it mumscarian. I had planned to do a total overhaul on mumbo and grian's dynamic Regardless in this rewrite, and I'm a lot happier with the results! :D but there will be interesting changes to the overall dynamic I think

I have this image in mind of mumbo being the guy who has to watch these two be terrible terrible piners and be So exasperated with the two of them. wingman mumbo in this kind of au is. such an endearing idea to me

It took me quite awhile to get to actually reading it but I just read the first instalment of the friend of the devil and I just want to say that it was life changing and it's only the first part. I have already read all of the original series and loved it!

Also tell me if I'm wrong for stating this but in the original series in chapter 3 of welcome to the syndicate the chapter is about how grian is scared of thunder storms and hides in a closet to get away from the outside world and I just wanted to say that it is one of my favorite parts and I am excited to see if it gets included in the re written version.

If I'm over stepping please just ignore that or tell me so I don't do it again but I love your writing along with all the others and I'm extremely excited to see where this new rendition and storyline is going to go!

hi!!!! :D we're really happy to see so much excitement about the rewrite 🥹💕 very very glad to be back in that world and well :3 doing crime hehe. it's super exciting to be looking at the story with fresh eyes and seeing what we can cook up together.

and you're correct, yes! you're not overstepping at all <3 I can't promise it'll be in the new version simply because we don't know what we'll end up doing just yet. there are certain fics that we fully intend to keep in the new version, just need to edit them to make them fit with the rewrite for plot sake :3

and yes!!! >:D I’m glad scar’s slight darkness came through. it’s something stellar and I talked wanting to do!! in the original version it never really felt like scar was the scary crime leader he was intended to be, y’know? his role as mayor was heavily focused on, so we lost out on the opportunity to explore his darker side with crime :3

it’s something we’re running with in this rewrite though, as I’m sure you’ve seen >:3c

to those who read spots how was it because i’m not vibing with it since it ending was rushed for Slime to beta read at mine as we dyed my hair. I’ll come back to it and surely expand on things that need improving.
