Oh goddess we should talk and compare notes. /we've never even seen the dude we bought from but he complained about everything
UGH (and yes we should, that sounds lovely) Ours isn’t even complaining he’s just ... sliding in these snide comments about how we’re being unreasonable. Probably because we conceded more than we should have on the initial offer, so now he’s trying to see what else he can get away with? He literally sent us an email today, (because he got our emails off the contract and thinks that’s ok even though THAT’S WHY WE HAVE AN AGENT, YOU’RE SUPPOSED TO TALK TO HER?)
uM. Right, yeah so he sent the husband an email today saying he hadn’t heard from our agent and maybe she didn’t have our best interests at heart... but there’s nothing new for her to tell him until he gets the termite inspection, so idek what he thinks he’s insinuating? Besides, we think she’s excellent, and even if we don’t know enough to be able to tell if she’s not, all the other people you have to deal with in regards a home, title and mortgage and inspections and etc., are really pleased to be working with her, so she can’t be regularly fucking it up or they’d have noticed at some point over the last fifteen years? She’s got excellent reviews and everything!
/have I mentioned he’s a dick?
It’s just one of the few really nice neighborhoods without an HOA in the area, and the house is in really good shape, so he knows he’s got all the power here. :P

People can be really weird about selling their houses. The person we bought from had to sell for financial reasons, and she was really emotional about it. Plus she didn't love our offer but it was the one she had, and then prices shifted upward in our area during escrow. It was really awkward. Like, there's no way to say "I'm sorry you don't want to sell your house but it's not our fault we made an offer to buy it? Can you just... dial it down a little?"
there is clearly some of that too. they’ve had the place less than two years, they re-did the kitchen, they clearly thought they were going to be there longer, and now they’ve got to try and get enough out of it that they’re not financially screwed ... but none of that is because of us, and I really wish they’d stop needling us ‘cause they’re annoyed that they think they could have gotten more money. (Because I think that’s what this is, that they got an offer after they signed ours.) We didn’t make them sign ours. They chose to do so. *grr*argh*stabbity.gif*

Homes are the least fun thing to buy--we're right there, too. (Maybe they're fun if you have All The Money and don't have to fret about things like radon and roofs, but that's not my life.) Best of luck with the radon mitigation!
oh my gosh CONGRATULATIONS (and so much sympathy). Unfortunately, he refused to do the mitigation, and it’s not legally required, just recommended. So we’re sucking it up ‘cause we were barely over the recommended limit. We almost backed out at that point ‘cause it was so damn petty of him, but ... we’re not going to find another place with all the amenities we want in such a good location. We’re just not? *sighs* I hate that he’s getting away with it, but I want his damn house!
Honestly, it wouldn’t be so annoying if he’d just said no, or he’d said that when he got it tested it was lower so he thought ours was a fluke, but he was like, no because the VA doesn’t require it, which is nothing so much as the pretending to be adult equivalent of na na you can’t make me. *eyeroll*
So yeah, we’ll probably get it retested again once we’re settled, and if it’s still a little high we’ll get it mitigated then. As a bonus it’s supposed to help with humidity, which means our A/C bill might go down too? *shrugs*sighs forever*

Join me in my brainrot induced design scribbles for a new oc im making- yeah hes based on william idgaf!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (I often base oc's on blorbos lmao its a natural process) Ive been toying with a jackalope design for a while now. Today I came up with that doodle at work and at home ive been doing some digital doodles. Im almost there I think... He needs to rotate a little bit more in my brain. As for outlines on his character. He is a ghost of a human cannibalistic serial killer. His main story arc in death is gaining acces to becoming corporeal. Which he eventually succeeds in because I need to be able to fuck him- Because he craves flesh! In life he was a college biology teacher I think.. he knows how the body... comes apart :)
Original characters I doodled this week :)
Did a full piece with the new acrylic markers from scratch. Here's my wizard chimkem Peregrine!~
OC stuff I drew up this year. From top to Bottom: Peregrine the Blind (basilisk). Vincent the Tormented (mothman) and ...Raven... A manticore lady
