Honestly??? I do think their dynamic is hilarious but I prefer to see them as a brother/sister type relationship. I dont like the implication of romance between them 😭 I'm just gonna pretend the entire breakfast scene was them being socially awkward together, no romance at all-

Like, you can change the timeline of the original story a little bit but still respect the core aspects of these characters

MAY JOWA SANA NIYA KASO LANG KULANG DAW YUNG BUDGET NI RIZAL so ayon wala nala siyang jowa pero atleast nandiyan si Ibarra para sa kanya HE HEGEGHHE (sad how he didn't get one, we could have seen a more tender side to Elias)

Na-imagine ko rin na medyo jealous siya kayna Ibarra at Clarita dahil diyan, lalo na silang dalawa'y masaya at siya ay hindi dahil sa kalagyan niya sa buhay (nanduon rin sa Chapter X pinakita yung pagka-salty niya during the whole trip, poor guy)

I NEED YOUR OPINIONS (and suggestions haha)

So I'm making this animation of Maria and Simoun right?? In this animation its my own ending of the novel wherein Simoun gets to see Maria Clara at the convent again, but here maria clara is still wearing her nun uniform while simoun is wearing his typical fancy attire but all scratched up and wounded.

The problem is: i don't know whether or not to make them smooch or not, because on one hand it symbolizes her finally being able to love simoun freely from the convent she was manipulated to be in, but on the other hand I don't know if it would be appropriate to draw a nun kissing someone 😭 even i don't feel comfy drawing it, but I still want the viewers to FEEL something when they watch it. But maybe there are other ways of making the scene impactful.

Maybe I can have Maria Clara change clothes at some point in the animation THEN I can make them smooch, i guess it can show her finally being free too?? But I feel like it wouldn't hit as hard because her being in a nun uniform reminds the viewers of her time at the convent and who she has become while Simoun was away.

I also don't wanna send the wrong message (nun = trapped 😭 maybe im overthinking it tho but this can be a possibility for thise who are watching out of context)

Idk I really need opinions and suggestions raaaaahhh
