a teacher at my school says that after you recieve your ATAR and uni offers come out that that is only one door, and if the door you want is closed then open another, climb through the window or go into the back door. What he meant was that just because you didn't get what you want, then try something different until you can get what you want.

I agree with your rant. It doesn't matter who is helping or who is raising awareness, just as long as somebody is, just as long as something is being done, sure if they weren't doing anything to help but just pretending then let them be criticized, but they're not, they're stepping out of their daily lives to help others. We are human beings, we should help each other, we should support them & their cause if it means helping those in need. Don't hate the cause because you dislike them.
Thank you anon, that is all I think too! It's just basic humanity, they are helping other human beings who need help. Although the social issues are present and you can look at through that perspective, I just look at it like people need help, you help them. end of story. I just don't understand how people can focus on the social issues more than the help going to these people. Thank you for agreeing with me <3
yes she's said some careless things, but surely that doesn't give people the right to hate her because they think she's dumb (which I think was meant to be the original point of the conversation)
People can do whatever they want and as wrong as we think their opinions are, we can't control them unfortunately. But it doesn't matter what other people say or think as long as she makes us happy and we love and support her :)

She's doing the best she can with the eyes of the entire world on her. She's a real person she can't say and do the right things all the time, is that what you expect?
