Willow had spent the better part of the morning staring at her teaching plan in frustration. It was structured, straight forward and easy to follow. However, she had recently gotten some feedback on her teaching tactics and the same word came up with everyone: boring. And while she didn’t want to, Willow believed them. She had to get onto so many people as of late for falling asleep in her class, but she had absolutely no idea how to spice things up. Even as a student back in Ravenclaw, Willow had been incredibly serious about her studies and felt no need to be entertained by it. Some of the more serious, straightforward teachers were her favourites because there was nothing in her way of getting her stuff done so she could move on to her next nap.
She ruffled her own hair, lost in thought as she made her way to the one person she felt she could ask for help. Mitch had befriended her almost immediately as she was welcomed on the staff. He didn’t find her muggle ways weird (he actually had some of the same interests) and was generally a warm person. Also, she had been told by her students that his classes were entertaining. So if anyone could help, he could.
She knocked a few times on the door to his place and folded her arms against the chill, waiting for either Mitch or Emi to answer the door. As usual, she had a gift for the little one tucked neatly away in her bag. She didn’t have any kids of her own, nor did she have any younger siblings, so Emi had quickly become spoiled by her. “Hey Mitch, you home?” Her voice was soft as she called out for him.
If Willow hated anything, it was asking for help.
