Feeling so good & sore right now! My Reebok Crossfit Open score for 15.1/15.1a has been logged. I used the Open as a motivator to get back into the box post surgery. It was so good to see my toes make it up to the bar, thrilling to bust out fast deadlifts and freakin’ awesome to be able to snatch the rx weight. Then as a cherry on top, pick up a decent heavy weight on the clean & jerk without hesitation. I’m liking how all the meditating I’m doing is coming into play while doing crossfit in the class and under pressure. Yesterday was a sure way to gage how it is benefitting my life. Don’t know where I’ll be physically in the upcoming weeks but my goals to finish out the next 4 workouts are still a go. As well as a good massage and lots of stretching. Balancing physical activities is definitely an art. Anytime a stress is put onto the body, a way to relieve that stress must be put into play. For the longest time I’d just go straight back to the box and pound out my bodies stress with more of what caused that stress. I thought that’s what you do, painfully push through. When yes, pushing through can be good, it must be in a loving non competitive manner. Give your body the proper guidance by really feeling it’s needs and getting that need fulfilled. Love every bone. If your gonna be hard on yourself then you must make time to be gentle to it also.
So firstly, I’m going to praise and thank my body for being the miracle that it is. I know that it is releasing everything that no longer serves me and is healthy, whole and complete.
