That is an entirely fair point and one that I would agree with. I was unclear in my initial post, for which I apologize. What I meant to say was more along the lines of "One of the reasons I don't want to just plonk this quote down without commentary is that, transposed to our cultural context, it re-enforces the 'promiscuous bisexual' trope that exists in our culture". I have no idea whether anything even remotely resembling that trope operated in the cultural context that produced this particular bit of poetry, but I strongly doubt it. I will endeavor to be clearer about these things in future!

GOD YES. Teen Wolf overdoes it so much with the music. And it's especially frustrating because sometimes they're so spot-on (like Ice Pick!)
Right?? Although it's pretty consistent with the show itself that has such amazing episodes and then really really awful ones. It's just more jarring I guess when they don't happen at the same time - to have such awful music for such a great ep.

Agreed. The comedic music for the Peter/Lydia scene was the worst offender of this for me.
By far. Just awful.

I have seen fireflies in real life! I started singing the song Fireflies while walking down the street. I have no shame like that. :D (Also sorry for replying late; I managed to miss this post!)
It's okay! I'm jealous though, I honestly thought it was just special effects or something before. But then I realized they actually exist and I really want to see them. All I see here is spiders that scare the crap out of me and an occasional squirrel or hare. (Wow, I just realized that hare is spelled the same in Swedish as in English, although it's pronounced differently.) And to answer the other thing, awesome you like weird questions sometimes I wonder if my brain is working correctly because it just comes up with the weirdest things ever. Okay, now I'm rambling, I had 2 hours of sleep, built a bookshelf in 28 degrees (82,4 in Fahrenheit) and I'm currently moving heavy books to my new bookshelf. Not sure how long I can stay up without passing out.

Teen Wolf characters I would:
1. bake cupcakes for: Melissa, because she’s awesome, has done an amazing job raising Scott all by herself, saves lives on the reg and is hardly appreciated enough.
2. trust with the keys to my car: Chris Argent, because he is a responcible adult that would have the means to fix any damage done to the car by his daughter or any of her friends, also I wouldn’t mind owing him one… ahem
3. put thumbtacks on the chair thereof: Coach, because his pain and mild discomfort would amuse me.
4. have a crush on: Allison if she so much as smiled in my general direction, Stiles for just existing and being his beautiful self
5. pack up and leave if they moved next door: Derek, too much noise, weird power surges, some creepy dude you’re not even sure lives with him asking you for sugar. I mean it’s either fighting noises or fucking noises and I wouldn’t know if I should call the cops or not. Plus half-naked warewolves appearing randomly in hallways would hardly be helpful with my procrastination.
6. vote for President: Scott or Lydia if they’re all grown up.
7. pick as my partner in a buddy movie: Since I would be the Stiles in the relationship, Scott
8. pair up: for school Lydia is an obvious choice, if sexy times are involved, Allison or Lahey or both what?
9. vote off the island and into the volcano: Peter, creepy manipulative little shit that he is Gerard is getting voted off anyway. I mean…
10. wheedle into fixing my MP3 player: Lydia, if she can’t do it, nobody can, maybe she’ll even add something cool. She is basically my Tony Stark on the show.
