A few days ago I went checking the wonderful Long-Island Staylace Association website.
Frightened, I couldn’t find it. With my utmost sorrow I found out it has been closed.
Throughout the years it has been a safe place, a lighthouse in the fog for my corseting passion and many times a reassuring mate in lonely days. Sadly it’s master is no longer with us and we are all a little orphaned now...
We will all carry it’s legacy, but without our mainland will be darker days.
