theres this image i have to get out of my head so here i go ☠️
the first time Elliott gets extremely worried is when farmer wouldn't come back to their farmhouse after the dark. Seeing that only pickaxe and their sword is missing he would know that they're in the mines.
he would overthink everything that could've happen to the farmer, but the other side of him tried to calm himself down because truly, panicking wouldn't get him anywhere.
so he reached for old sword that his spouse had left in the chest, put a coat, then he stepped outside ready to go look for his spouse, cold air of the winter hitting him in the face. he jogged through the mountains, and after a while he had trouble breathing because of the cold, but he wasn't going to rest until he'd make sure his lover was okay.
when he gets to the mines, he searches a while for the farmer and finds them on level 45
they're fine, they're alright, perhaps they are hurt, but they're alive. Elliott let's his guard down, saying farmer's name with his voice a little shaked from emotions, he approaches them, reaching out to them to give a hug.
What he didn't saw was a monster lurking behind him, waiting for a good moment to strike. The beast sprinted with inhuman speed towards the poet. Elliott freezed from the fear, and the farmer, who recovered from the shock of seeing Elliott in this horrendous place, shielded Elliott with their body with a sword in their hands.
after a while of fighting, the monster ended up with a sword pierced through it's skull, while farmer panted heavily over the dead body of a creature. i imagine that it was Elliott's first time seeing farmer fighting in the mines, I imagine him being relieved and excited when the farmer saves his life lol... like come on, its like one of his scenarios coming true.
Fue always out here sending banger asks for me to read oml
•I imagine after the initial shock and adrenaline of having to act fast and kill the monster to save their husband, the farmer kinda whips around to him, their voice snapping Elliott out of his daze and mulling over the excitement and adrenaline he felt about the whole thing before other emotions sets in.
•While you're light on your words with him considering you understand why Elliott had wanted to come down here (out of the extreme worry of his heart), but please for everything that is wicked and sully in the world never put yourself in danger like that again you beg him.
•After you said your words and pulled your sword from the slain monster, flicking the blade and sending light beads of blood to decorate the ground, you sheath your blade and getting the hint now..you both make the trek home. (Or simply just use a totem to get there whatever floats your boat lol)
•But yes indeedy that experience, as. Absolutely terrifying it was. After all was done and the danger was gone he guiltily did feel excited about it...not in the aspect he almost got killed! No no! Not like that..but that was something you'd read out of a book or something..y'know, where the lover saves the other from certain danger thus saving their lover's life? That kind.
