In developing a new album, I always test out a myriad of different concepts for songs. A lot of times, these concepts end up morphing and mutating into something entirely different, they end up existing on this entirely different plane of thought to what I had when I initially produced the first demo. This is the case with a track I’ve been developing for a while called “Opus” (which has gone by many different names throughout 2022-2023).
Opus has always been this weird outlier in my discography, but I’ve regarded it with a unique fondness because of that strangeness. The initial demo sounds like LITERALLY NOTHING that came after it, which seemed fitting for talking about my process of track creation.
