i think nobody at school actually suspects denji is chainsaw man bc he’s so laughably bad at deflecting suspicion that everybody just thinks itd be too obvious if it was him. the subject comes up in the cafeteria and denji’s immediately “well it sure isn’t me! hahahaha!” sweating looking away scratching his neck. he’ll fully drink blood in front of people, casually let slip in conversation how many times he’s died this week, make no effort to be inconspicuous when bailing on school for a hunt. everyone knows denji as “the guy who wants everyone to think he’s chainsaw man so definitely is not chainsaw man.” he has no idea how brilliant a job he’s doing at covering his tracks
