Xion hugged him back just as excitedly. “He’s the cutest!” she exclaimed happily, though Roxas’ question gave her pause. “Hmm... I don’t know. The only dog name I know is Pluto, but it’d be kinda weird if we named him that.”

Thinking his job was done now that he’d said his piece, Cloud started nodding, ready to walk away. But the kid spoke up again, and he realized that his simple advice to maybe eat some more rounded meals had been taken in another way. 

Well, hm. It’d probably be too rude to just walk off now, right? “Cherish those. They’ll help you make it through when the rest goes wrong again.” It was, after all, what Cloud did to hold on to his own light. And nothing ever stayed right for long, no matter how hard you tried.

“But also: eat some veggies.” He wanted to make sure his original meaning got through as well. “Every time I see you kids, you’ve got ice cream. It’s not good for you.”

“... so, it might sound like we’re going the wrong way with this, but you want your blade to be as sharp as possible. Super sharp. Dare I say ‘dangerously sharp?’ Oh, I dare, kid!” Eugene carried on, for all the world believing he had a rapt audience as he ran the straight razor along the leather before holding it up to his eye. “Does that make shaving dangerous? Well, only if you do something really silly, like hold the blade wrong or sneeze or... breathe a little too heavily when you do it. Don’t worry - you’ve got plenty of reason to watch that! ... hey. Are you paying attention? You’re gonna need all these pearls of information one day, you know!”

Roxas was like a baby, as far as Eugene was concerned. Both in appearance and in innocence. But that just left him feeling responsible for imparting words of wisdom onto the boy and, privately... he needed a shave. Why not strike two birds in one bolt?

He noticed that sad pout Xion gave Lea and can't resist hugging her hoping it will cheer her up.

{🐚}- “Roxas?” While she’d never turn down a hug from him, she had to admit that she was a little confused as to why he think she needed such a comforting embrace.

being approached like a local was very unexpected as he was passing through traverse town himself. the stranger seemed genuinely lost, not to mention he didn’t look like he was from any world he knew. “traverse town,” he answered bluntly. “those creatures are called heartless. you’re lucky to be alive if you fought any off. how did you arrive here?”

    “Traverse Town?” Robin repeated, turning his head away and putting a hand over his mouth in thought. It was no wonder he was getting lost in a place with such a name. 

    “I’m not too sure. Last I remember I was fighting a battle with my allies then... black. Then I woke up here. Never seen or heard of those place nor those creatures. Their name seems fitting, if anything.” He was rambling to himself, thinking aloud to make sure he had his facts straight. It was a trait Chrom called him out for far too much. 

    “You say I’m lucky to live against the heartless. Why? They’re not that difficult to fend off.”
