CTM Anticipation

I am both gleefully excited about the CTM finale and absolutely dreading it at the same time. Once it airs, that's it... We'll have to suffer an agonizingly long wait until we get a new episode. Tell me fellow CTM obsessees, how are you going to deal with the CTM absence after the roller coaster series six that we've received?

I know this is slightly irrelevant, but thank you for dressing Shelagh as a lady in her 30′s (or early 40′s) instead as the matronly lady she is not. I really want her bathing suit now, she had on a lovely nightgown and had on a pretty blue and white dress when she went into town. Season 5 was just been a succession of ugly dresses. 

Now they just have to give her a storyline in the new season where she and Patrick work on a medical case or she solves a case herself. She is so experienced and yet she is always relegated to a supporting role (not that that is bad).

have they gone into qu**rbaiting with pupcake/gateways? Delia and Patsy are obviously in a romantic (and probably sexual relationship, so I'm unsure how that term applies, but I might just be missing something!

I’ve cooled off a bit since blurting out that rant, but the way I see it is in the comparison to Tom and Barbara. We have known there was a Gateways scene for a while now (I can’t remember when Kate’s interview* was released, but it was near the start of the season). Because of this and the promise of a kiss it’s been one of the most anticipated moments of the season, and we’re all very glad to have had it, but the fact that all we really got was a hand hold and twenty seconds just feels like a joke - perhaps I’m just being too pessimistic here, but we were led in to thinking it was going to be a huge, anticipated scene, when in reality it was placed briefly at the end after five or six kisses from the heterosexual couple. It’s a huge, huge let-down after what we all expected.

You’re certainly correct in saying that it isn’t queerbaiting in the sense of a relationship - they’re most definitely together, and we’ve had some wonderful moments - it’s just tonight’s episode that people are fed up with after such a build up, especially with the sheer amount of Tom and Barbara we’ve had (who have been together less than a season).

*Just wanted to add here that I in no way, shape, or form blame Kate for the potential of the kiss scene being cut, nor the shortness of the Gateways scene! She’s a wonderful woman who’s doing an excellent job, as is Emerald, and I very much hope people aren’t blaming them for things going off the expected course
