Sometimes placed in the Cacomantis genus, from the Greek κακομαντις (kakomantis) meaning "prophet of evil".

This and its sister species the blue malkoha used to be considered a single species which was called the yellowbill, for extremely self-evident reasons.

A small cuckoo from southeast Asia, who parasitizes sunbirds and spiderhunters.

Cuckootober day 10 - White-eared bronze-cuckoo (Chrysococcyx meyerii)

A little cuckoo from New Guinea, we assume it must be brood parasitic like the other Chrysococcyx cuckoos but don't actually know anything about its breeding biology. We do know that it regularly participates in mixed-species foraging flocks when looking for food though, which is very cute.
