Delighted to learn that Gary Larson and Wallace Tripp made this exact same joke but came at it from completely different angles.
Rabbit Breeds: Britannia Petite aka Polish Rabbit
The Britannia Petite was developed in Britain in the mid 19th century and is known there as the Polish. Despite their name, they do not come from Poland but were named for the 'polish' of their shiny coats. The Britannia Petite is the among the very smallest breeds with a typical weight range of 700g - 1.2kg (1½ - 2½ lbs). It is a full arch breed with an elegant, upright pose. The head is wedge-shaped in profile with a quite pointed nose and ears held close together above the head, giving an alert appearance.
"Look at this distinguished gentleman! Look at the way he is sitting!"
Meanwhile, his father: "YO!! WHERE'S MY HAY??"
Fresh worms! Litter OP1 is here. Only seven, which is great. We won't need to foster any to Antimony. These guys are surprisingly small, so there's no way I'd risk it with her kits being as big as they are now.
One tort has slightly more rufus than the other. Both looking pretty good, though. They're among the largest in the litter.
Only two from Antimony. Not surprised at a small litter, but that's my smallest yet. Looks like she DOES carry self, so at least we hit the odds for that so I know. The other kit appears to be chestnut.
Silvering update. You can see the difference that satin fur gene makes pretty well here. Trefoil (satinized boy) on left, Sorrel (normal fur) on right. I can also tell now that Oxalis is not satinized, as his silvering is just as bright as Sorrel's.
