to preface: if jake and michael chased after the same darling, jake would give michael a black eye.
all those things jake did to get your attention? multiply them tenfold. he may have seemed clingy in the past, but now he’s downright possessive.
he’ll follow you to classes like a lost puppy, with his hand wrapped tightly around you, to remind everyone who you belong to.
kisses in the hallway aren’t just kisses anymore, and you’ll have to tell him off from trying to fuck you in front of everyone.
while jake makes it immensely clear that he wants you, michael is the opposite.
if there’s anything michael’s deathly afraid of it’s (1) having his feelings made public and (2) watching you be with someone else.
remember when i said michael can’t get jealous, only insecure? he’ll mope around like a sad kitten the second he sees jake hitting on you.
he’s worried that you might reciprocate jake’s feelings, even with his scummy exterior and his tendency to smother himself all over you.
while jake likes to display you as a trophy, michael prefers to keep you all to himself. just seeing another person sully your skin with their dirty hands puts michael in overload.
although michael’s afraid to hurt or harm you, he wouldn’t hesitate to throw away his morals if someone else had their eyes on his darling, whether it be blackmail or kidnapping.
