Employees whose store/restaurant offers curbside pickup, how do you feel about it?
I like it
I mostly like it with exceptions (bad weather, busy, tired, etc)

Your WIPs all sound awesome! But I have to ask if you could you give any details about Curbside Pickup?
Oh. Oh my. I was hoping someone might ask about that one.
Well you see . . . It's a Zelink (who am I kidding, that's all I write about), modern setting fic. Zelda gets rescued from a blizzard (because of a sequence of events that resulted in her being kicked out of the car she was in) by a stranger who lives in the woods. This stranger is, of course, Link, a park ranger in this life. I guess. I guess I'll just put down a lil' snippet. 👀

The scuffed suitcase beside her was already a quarter buried in soft, cold white. The wind cried. Her clouded breath disappeared after broken sobs. The headlights of cars slipping down the street never appeared.
“I don’t know what to do without you,” she whispered.
But then a light did barrel down on her and she peered up hopefully, hesitantly into its oncoming approach. Her heart sunk deep. An unfamiliar pickup rolled to a stop seemingly just as hesitantly as her wish now shot dead. But then the door flew open and a man descended upon her with a blanket.
“Ma’am? Are you crazy? You’ll die out here!” He grabbed her blue hands and blew on them his scalding breath. “You’re halfway there already!”
For a moment, staring helplessly at her, he seemed to falter in indecision.
And then the wind was distant and its groans were relegated to slithering along the steel walls of the man’s truck after he had tripped their path there, grabbing her suitcase as an afterthought.
“I hope you don’t find this rude, but I think you must be insane. Either that or an angel. Does a blizzard mean nothing to you, miss?”
He had an accent: a slight drawl as if from the country.
He was still holding her iced hands.
“Miss?”
The heat was encompassing, melting the frozen blood in her veins.
It had been awhile.
[Yeah, we are still open, but I changed the hours to Thursday through Saturday, and we're just doing curbside pickup and delivery.]

curbside pickup at our store is a fucking JOKE, there’s literally only 5 of us at customer service, not including leads, and except on weekends there’s never more than 3 of us there. and now there’s a special phone set aside specifically for curbside, and if it rings we’re supposed to answer it immediately, even if we’re with customers in the store, even if there’s a line, even if we’re the only person there, we HAVE to answer that fucking phone. and that’s not gonna fucking happen, none of us is gonna abandon customers in front of us to find a curbside order and run it out to the curbside parking lot. no fucking way. bc then we have customers in the store mad at us, which is the last fucking thing we need. and we had a woman come in the store and yell at us bc she supposedly had been sitting out in the curbside parking lot for an hour and calling and the phone was just ringing and ringing. but that phone hadn’t rung at all until 10 minutes before she came in. but she bitched at us like “what’s the point of having curbside pickup if no one is gonna answer the phone, the whole point is so I don’t have to come in the store and now I had to come in” blah blah blah guess what lady curbside is a fucking shut show for us. it’s a huge pain in the ass, our ordering system is the fucking worst, and we’re too fucking understaffed to be running packages outside constantly. if we can’t pick up the phone then we can’t pick up the phone. if they’re gonna have curbside pickup that is actually effective, then they should have a couple people who are specifically doing only that, bc customer service is swamped and understaffed already. but no, the managers don’t work with us or see how much of a fucking headache this all is, so they won’t do a goddam thing.
Sometimes picking up groceries curbside-style is fine.
And then sometimes you ask for a 1-pound brisket and they drop an $86 ten-pound brisket the size of your torso in the back of your car and disappear before you can say anything
