Yeah, years ago, when I still had writing partners and active threads.  This is... this is kicking a dead horse is what this is.

{ Bonnie and I had a chat a while ago about the Doctor being an idiot, and well, about letting you see Emmreth, after. }

{ Yeah that doesn’t surprise me, he’s a ball of raging fire, of course, he’s been working up to that since the reboot hasn’t he? }

“On and off, they all do this at times, but this one.”

{ I feel like if there was ever another aside from Eleven that I might not be shit at writing- }

“Stop.  I’m not dealing with a pissed off Scottish owl on top of the other idiots you keep around.”

{ Ehhhh, that’s fair.  You know what’s a little funny to me? }

“I don’t think I care- I’m sorry, why did he become Lord President & President of the entire damn Earth?”  

{ The latter is your fault, technically, the former, I’m pretty sure that happened in a couple of weird timelines and shit I dunno.  Also Bri is the hybrid }

{ The Master, lover of chaos, thoughts? }

“I’m not gracing that ridiculous statement with an answer.”

{ What about that thing the Doctor used to keep ‘Me’ alive? }

{ Come on I can fucking see you thinking about how to get your hands on one. }

“It wouldn’t be worth it, she’d live forever.  We both know she doesn’t want that.”

{ Plus you’ve got, what, several millennia?  You’d leave her either alone or with Bri for an awful long time if you did that. }

“Please stop talking.”

{ You’ll find something. }

“And what if I don’t?  You know damn well what happens after.”

{ Which one?  Hate to break it to you but seeing as time isn’t exactly perfectly linear where you fuckers are involved, I’ve got like, seven different possible endgames here and that’s only in the past year or so. }

“Out of them, which ones are good?”

{ Two?  Maybe?  I mean, sure you go a bit mad for a bit before the Doctor shows up on whatever got replaced by Redshift, and you kinda blinked out an entire galaxy, but it’s you, and you don’t deal with grief all that good. }

“The other?”

{ Well, see that one is a little more complicated because it depends on how she dies, once, Bri thinks it’s your fault, you do too, you wipe her memory, bad things ensue.  She kills you in the end.  Doctor comes around, tries to stop her, doesn’t work. }

“Of course it doesn’t, she’s too much like me for any of his drivel to talk her down.”

{ Other option, not your fault, she makes you take her along when you go after the people who killed Emmreth.  She’s there for it, she understands, and, you’re okay.  For the most part. }

“Translation, the Doctor still definitely has to lock me up for a bit.”

{ Define ‘a bit’ }

“A few decades at the least, it would take me that long to lock away what I needed to in order to be whatever I’d concocted into ‘normal’“

{ Back to the universe where Bri doesn’t happen, Emmreth dies, Doctor picks you up, you give up the Master forever.  Who are you then? }

“Do I care?  I have to give it up because keeping it means keeping the memories and we both know I can’t deal with them.”

{ One of the possibilities... }

“As the kind god dies.”

{ Don’t, it’s too similar to that, it really is, and we both know if you really cared to do it then he wouldn’t stop you. }

“I know he wouldn’t.”

{ Have I ever mentioned how wildly unhealthy it is that you’d slaughter the entire universe in the name of losing someone you love? }

“Multiple times, I think.”

{ What if it was Lucy? }

“Haven’t you done enough harm?  I’ve seen Emmreth die more times than I care to, whether her blood is on my hands or not, whether it breaks me or doesn’t, I have felt her slip away.  Since the beginning you have used this and used her to tear me apart, don’t start with Lucy as well.”
