This is Dopey. My fiancé gave him to me as a Valentine’s gift this year. He was an online purchase from China and I assure you, we expected his appearance to look extremely different. Dopey was advertised to look like Falkor the Luck Dragon from The Never-ending Story films. Well that was a big bust….. a major bust of laughter on my part. Lol I seriously found the whole situation super humorous. My fiancé not so much. Figuring out that a refund wasn’t going to happen, I choose to make the best of it.
Between my fiancé’s imagination and I, he came up with the name Dopey and thought up of a backstory. The name basically speaks for itself when you look at the doll/plush. Lol Then Dopey received the title as an Anathema dragon or in other words, a cursed dragon. He comes from a family of luck dragons, but as you can see, Dopey came out to be “extra special” from his Mama’s belly. He suffered much from bullying for his strange looks and being accident-prone. Others claim he was bad luck and cursed, but Dopey’s Mama loved him equally to his siblings. Which encouraged him to not hate himself, but instead to embrace himself. ☺️
That is Dopey’s story in a nut shell. Lol Soon he’ll receive a new shirt that’ll fit his body better. He was borrowing my 1/3 scale doll’s hoodie in the meantime. Hehe, I think it suited him well! 💛
