Okay so here’s another headcanon I have. When both Pony and Darry were younger and home alone, Darry would blast radio music in the living room and then set Pony on his feet. They would hold eachother close and dance, they were caught a few times by Mrs and Mr. Curtis ( they thought it was adorable ). Now years later, their parents are gone and both Darry and Soda work very hard. Pony comes home from a long day of school, Darry is the only one home and there is music blasting in the living room. Darry is uncharacteristically smiling wildly and pulls Pony close to him. Then they dance like they did years before.

i can see pony additionally pulling out. record player one day and he just takes darry’s hands and starts spinning after darry had a long day-at first darry is like “pony wtf i have to make dinner” but he eventually gives in and the two have such a good time-bonus if soda comes in and starts doing aerobatics or whatever, he kinda ruins the vibe but he’s silly so it’s okay
