Boycotting Carl's Jr.
Sick and tired of Carl's Jr. Sexually objectifying women and treating them like a piece of meat.
We appeared on CNBC's "Closing Bell" show yesterday discussing the#cutthecarls campaign! You can watch part of the interview through this link. We've seen this campaign go completely viral across the country in the past week and are happy to be able to use our research to speak up about exactly how and why Carl's Jr's objectifying ads are hurting viewers -- not just offending conservative people or appealing to the lowest common denominator, but actually causing harm to the way we view women and ourselves. As you know, people are NOT happy that we're talking back to CJ's, and as you also know, that doesn't matter. The research stands, and we would love your support to continue to help people recognize the harms of these degrading messages and reject the companies that rely on them, like Carl's Jr. and Hardees! Vote with your dollars! To see the video, check out our post-- the video is embedded at the end!http://www.beautyredefined.net/cut-the-carls/

I stop eating at Carl's Jrs for about a year now and my family and friends still tease me about it because they never fully understood what the purpose was behind it. It was a silent protest in my own eyes and ways. It didn't mean anything to anyone BUT ME and that's all that matters. Im sooo happy to have came across this!
I have decided to boycott Carl's Jr. because of their objectifying advertisements. They use society's idea of a "sexy" woman to sell their burgers, targeting men ages 18-35. These commercials are not only demeaning but raises girls to one narrow standard of beauty. I am taking a stand and supporting Beauty Redefined by "cutting the Carl's" out of my diet. #cutthecarls #morethanmeat
