Reroofing Begins Monday at CVCA

Globe City Council has approved a contract with Rodriguez Construction for reroofing the Cobre Valley Center for the Arts building on the corner of Broad and Oak Streets.

The project will begin on Monday (August 31) and will be completed before September 30.

Oak Street will be closed at times during construction. The exact dates and times will be announced.

Copper Cities Players Salute 1960s Variety Shows

The Copper Cities Community Players present their spring production this weekend at the Cobre Valley Center for the Arts. It’s a tribute to the television variety shows of the 1960s.

Friday’s performance is at 7:pm. The Saturday matinee begins at 2:00. The Saturday evening performance at 7:00 is followed by a cocktail party and dance. A Mother’s Day Tea on Sunday at 2:00 will be followed by another performance.

Tickets range from $15 to $25. Call the Cobre Valley Center for the Arts for more information.

Copper Cities Community Players Spring Production

The Copper Cities Community Players will have their spring production during the weekend of May 8 through 10 at the Cobre Valley Center for the Arts.

The players will present a tribute to the televisom variety shows of the 1960s.

Evening performances are at 7:00 on Friday and Saturday. There will be a matinee  on Saturday afternoon at 2:00. The evening performance on Saturday will be followed by a cocktail party and dance. On Sunday there will be a Mother’s Day tea at 2:00 with the performance immediately after the tea.

Tickets range from $15 to $25.
