Prompt: “Did you not hear me say ‘no’ right now?” - @challengingwords
Pairing: Wonho x Jooheon x reader
A/N: This is the last of the stories for the past prompts I had to catch up on. This actually ties into the Cravings story a bit, but you don’t have to read it to understand what’s going on here. It’s just more family time being captured. I hope you enjoy <3
------------
You were currently watching your son and daughter playing in the play area of the nearby mall as you waited for their uncles to arrive. Your husband, Hyunwoo, had to take care of some things at work today which left you to deal with the kids on your own. ChangMi was 9 and old enough to help take care and watch ChangGun who had just started walking on his own and was enjoying his freedom running around, so it wasn’t like you would have you hands full. But as you were getting ready to leave the house, your brothers-in-law, Hoseok and Jooheon, had called asking if they could come and visit with the kids. When you told them of your plans for the day, they insisted to come along on the outing.
You were quickly sending an update to Hyunwoo when out of nowhere a cup of your favorite coffee came into view. You looked behind you and saw your brothers’ smiling faces.
“You know me so well,” you stated as you took the cup and gave them hugs from across the play area barrier.
“Uncle Hoseok! Uncle Jooheon!” ChangMi exclaimed when she noticed them. She initiated a race with her brother to them, letting him win. ChangGun reached up to his Uncle Jooheon to get picked up as ChangMi stood on the bench to give her Uncles a kiss on their cheeks.
“Come on,” Jooheon said, “Let’s get some exercise and walk around.”
“Yay! Shopping!” ChangMi exclaimed happily as Hoseok carried her over the play area barrier.
“Um, no,” you discouraged as you walked through the play area gate, “No, shopping.”
“No shopping,” Hoseok repeated and winked at ChangMi. She giggled at the gesture. This did not bode well for you.
You all walked along the paths lined with different stores, you sipping on your coffee, ChangMi holding on tightly to her Uncle Hoseok and ChangGun being carried by his Uncle Jooheon. You enjoyed catching up with your brothers on how they were doing and filling them in on the little things the kids have been up to. Then you came up to the dreaded toy store. You saw ChangGun pointing to it from Jooheon’s arms.
“Peas?” the little boy asked.
“Do you want to go?” Jooheon asked his nephew and the little boy nodded enthusiastically.
“No,” you responded.
“Uncle Hoseok, can we go there?” ChangMi asked as she pointed to a girl’s clothing store.
“No,” you repeated.
“Let’s go,” both uncles agreed.
“Did you not hear me say ‘no’ right now?” you asked them both.
“Y/N,” Hoseok said, “just have a seat and let us treat the kids.”
“You shouldn’t spoil them,” you informed them.
“But that’s what’s written in the official rule book for good uncles,” Jooheon argued and smiled his dimpled smile. You rolled your eyes in protest and looked over at Hoseok who was flashing you that big grin of his, as well.
“OK fine,” you relented because you knew you weren’t going to win this argument, “But as repayment you guys are staying for dinner.”
“Deal!” they both exclaimed. They both loved your cooking and you knew they weren’t going to turn down an invitation. You gave your kids kisses and sent the pairs on their separate ways as you sat on the bench to call your husband to inform him of your dinner guests. Truly, your kids couldn’t have been blessed with better uncles than those two.
Here is our fifth writing challenge! The next one will be issued on the 6th January at 8am NZST.

After a long night of practice, August was exhausted. But he had promised to take Yu Ai out shopping, he didn’t want to disappoint her. She slipped her arm around his when he arrived and leaned her head onto his arm, smiling. Seeing how happy she was, August felt happy too. They headed into the mall.
She held onto him the whole time and closer when there were a lot of people. August could sense that she was strange. He pulled his arm out of her embrace and turned to her.
“What is up with you today?” he questioned.
Yu Ai looked into his eyes, afraid to tell him. She didn’t want him to be mad.
“Nothing.” Yu Ai turned her head to avoid eye contact.
“You are lying.” August stated, “You always turn away when lying, you know I hate it.”
Yu Ai gulped, deciding if she should tell him. Letting out a sigh, she gave in.
“I’m sorry, but some of my used to be friends were saying that you wouldn’t date someone like me, I just want to prove to them that you love me.” Yu Ai explained.
August shook his head in disapproval letting go of her hand.
“Why are you like this?” August complained.
“Please, just one small kiss.” Yu Ai pleaded him with her eyes.
“I’m exhausted, I don’t need this right now.” August refused.
Pouting, Yu Ai moved closer, cupping his face in her hands. August rolled his eyes and pushed Yu Ai’s hand from his chin.
“Didn’t you just hear me say no right now?” August raised his voice louder.
Yu Ai’s smile turned upside down and tears welled up in her eyes. She lowered her eyes as people in the store turned their heads. Her rivals giggling, whispering to each other. Without looking at August, Yu Ai ran out the door.
August could hear girls giggling. He glared at them before running after Yu Ai, turning her to him and pushed her back against the wall. With his thumb, he wiped the tears from her face. Making sure the other girls could see clearly, he kissed her hard for a few seconds before pulling away.
“What are you doing?” Yu Ai questioned, her voice shaking.
“What does it look like I’m doing?” August stared into her eyes.
She could see the apologetic and understanding in his eyes.
“I love you and no matter what anyone thinks that fact won’t change.” August firmly stated, loud enough for everyone to hear, “You don’t need to worry about what others say, just know that you are mine and I belong to you.”
Yu Ai smiled and wrapped her arms around his neck, pulling him down to her. This time kissing gently with love.
