your opinion of book-to-movie adaptions?

It kind of annoys me how people are so quick to blurt out "the book was better!!!" when they're two different kinds of storytelling. And I have preferred movie adaptions before. They can either honor, wreck, or not really affect (in my mind) the original story depending on how well done it is so I like to go in with an open mind.

As far as THG movie adaptions, the more I watch it the less I like it tbh.

We'd probably rave about Hunger Games and eat a lot of food and ask our parents if we can have a sleepover.

And then we'd spend all night during all sleepover doing the exact same thing :p

She responded to questions on the obvious white-washing by saying she’d dye her hair. She’s either been kept in the dark, which is odd because she read the books and would see the problem, or just doesn’t think it’s her fault (and it’s really not) so she won’t talk about it

Two very likely possibilities. Guess we'll never know for sure, but it is certainly odd. Having read the books, I feel she should at least have an idea of where fans who are complaining about this sort of thing are coming from, even if she strongly disagrees.
